Description - Franklin County Massachusetts 1858 Wall Map Original - Homeowner Names - ** CUT into 6 pieces **Cloth Backing 160 years old orig An original 150 year old wall map in need of restoration. The color and varnish are in quite good shape considering the age of the map - suggesting that this map was not exposed to sunlight. There is some loss in the upper right corner where there is a picture, but most of the map's names and roads are intact. There are water stains on the left edge and in a location along the bottom of the map. Pieces of tape were applied to the back to prevent cracking - the map is somewhat brittle. *****This copy was cut into 6 pieces***** The photo is a ""composite"" to show how they fit together. The 2 largest pieces - which cover the main body of Franklin County have been taped together. This special charm of these old maps is that they show the names of the homeowners. The size, after re-assembly, is approximately 54"" x 63

Margins are typically 1/2" to 3" or more, depending on the print size and aesthetic considerations.
While our custom topo/nautical map sizes are usually accurate, the sizes listed for many of our other maps (especially USGS reprints) are only approximate. In these cases, we may print the map on a slightly different sheet size or with extra horizontal or vertical margins.
Please do not order a frame for your map until you receive the print! - Map color: No map will look identical to what you see on your computer monitor. Please be aware that the shade will likely be a bit different than what you see.
- Note that prints smaller than the original size may be difficult to read, while the larger print sizes may appear fuzzy when viewed up close.
