Where is the village of "Buzzard Roost"?

Buzzard Roost is on the 1879 Whitfield County Georgia Map

It;s not as remote as you might think - see the railroad passing through the village.

Whitfield County is on the Tennessee-Georgia line, not too far from Chattanooga.
